IMPORTANT The future of Skyblock

G'day all, discussion time!

As many of you have noticed and commented, the state of our Skyblock server is suffering.

The reality is that we have done all we can to try to fix the plugin, but the developers, despite stating they would provide more frequent updates, have been unable to fulfill their promises.

So where do we go from here? Our first hope was to find a new skyblock plugin that would allow us to convert everyone's islands to the new format. Unfortunately, this is impossible in every plugin we've investigated.

The current best option that we have investigated is employing a new skyblock plugin and give Skyblock a full reset. But, this is a very serious decision and we did not want to make it without player input.

No decisions have been made regarding store purchases, titles, items, etc.
While everyone's opinion is certainly welcome, we would prefer hearing from those who regularly play Skyblock.

Would you prefer continuing onward without anything changing, knowing it is possible island levels will never be fixed? Do you see any alternatives that we may have missed? What do you want us to know? Thank you for your time everyone!

The community of Skyblock has not seemed to be very existent on its own in what feels like forever.
I would be open to a full reset, but if people do not return and skyblock remains nearly empty- i am not sure it is the safest bet.

Given Store purchases, it would be far terrible if that which was bought was not returned upon such a reset like Towny had. What may have been possible before may not be as much now, personally it would be quite a loss to build up from if a fresh reset.

Personally i am uncertain due to lack of any consistent skyblock players, yet i would love to see a fix in island levels.
Skyblock was enjoyable before, but without players it lacks the life it used to have.
If there is no chance of store purchases being given again like towny, i would in the end be forced to accept it if Skyblock gets that spark of life once more.
Skyblock has a place in Maestrea, and i'd hate to see it wither completely.

Hello folks,

As far as I'm concerned the future of Skyblock is what's important here, we have had the chance to try out new ideas, test content, create some nice events, and have a good time, however with the current state I agree the only way to move forward into new territory is to have a Skyblock server reset. This means we can break ground on current content being worked on as well as fix ongoing bug frustrations with the islands. With the current plugin limiting our ability I see no other choice personally and welcome the reset whole heartedly.

if its for the good of skyblock and the future i dont mind a reset beter to have working plugins and to update them and fix bugs then to continue like this and struggle tough

I consider myself to be a skyblock player who sometimes visits Towny for extended periods of time. As much as I'd hate to lose all the work I recently put into Skyblock, I'd totally be willing to start over so we could get an updated set of skyblock plugins. Just want to make sure I can fly around screenshotting everything first.

Well considering the current plugin is trash, go for it. Skyblock is kinda dead low key because of the stuff not being able to function properly like it should. Also how are we supposed to continue on a dead plugin? Sure its not meant to really be reset but at this rate i'd think its the best option. I'll just do what I did before all over again.

My opinion is to either:
Completely wipe everything
or
Reward both people that have donated and people that have grinded so far. Giving the incentive for all to come back.

Maybe symbolic rewards could be given out to people populating the top 10 of is bank/bal/is vote/points, with a title or something.

I started to play recently and do enjoy it. I would love a reset. For me I don't lose much because I am new to it. Personally, I messed some of the island up so a reset would be great!

I have a lot of hours on skyblock, and I would also like a full reset if that allows us to have a new plugin with new/more features.

I did not play as much Skyblock as Alexander, for example, but I am also for a full reset with a better plugin in mind!

I'm all for a reset. Plugins get old and outdated, and also it's good to start fresh now and then.

As long as we can finally get the option to upgrade hoppercount, I'm all for it (looking at you Tribe). If it fixes the issues in skyblock, and could potentially raise a playerbase, I say it's the best option (though I will miss my titles)
